Alice Hirson, known for roles on Full House and Dallas, has died at 95 of natural causes at the Motion Picture and Television Country House in Los Angeles.
Born March 10, 1929, in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Hirson had a TV career spanning generations. She appeared in 26 episodes of Dallas, and as Claire Tanner on Full House. She also played Ellen DeGeneres’ mother on Ellen and guest-starred on Murphy Brown, Just Shoot Me!, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
Her film credits include Private Benjamin, Revenge of the Nerds, and Being There. On Broadway, she appeared in Traveller Without Luggage, The Investigation, and Solitaire/Double Solitaire.
Hirson was married twice and had two children.
