By the time Dalton’s wedding arrived, the deal was done. As he and Nicole celebrated, unaware, I felt a sense of closure. Later that night, when they arrived at what they thought was their home, they were met with a shocking sign: “For Sale: Sold.”

Their joy turned to disbelief. Dalton confronted me, but I stayed calm.

As I walked away, I felt lighter. It wasn’t just about the house — it was about reclaiming my dignity, my identity, and finally refusing to be invisible in my own life.
