Christopher North, founding keyboardist of Ambrosia, has died at 75.
The band confirmed the news, honoring him as the “Hammond B3 King” whose sound helped define progressive and soft rock. A founding member since 1970, he was known for his emotional performances and intense stage presence.
No official cause of death was given, though he had faced health issues in recent years, including throat cancer. Despite this, he remained deeply connected to music and fans.
North co-founded Ambrosia with David Pack, Joe Puerta, and Burleigh Drummond, contributing to hits like “Biggest Part of Me” and “How Much I Feel.”
