Now back home, Liam’s parents say the experience has profoundly affected him. He sees a psychiatrist regularly, lives in constant fear, and reacts strongly to police, saying, “It’s ICE, Mommy.” Once a happy child, Liam struggles in school and avoids certain activities.
Despite their release, the government continues efforts to deport the family. Adrian insists the accusations that he abandoned his son during arrest are false, calling the detention “an injustice.”
