Life can be beautiful—but also heartbreakingly cruel.
Brianna Rawlings was just 18, 17 weeks pregnant, when she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, NK cell leukemia—after doctors had mistaken her symptoms for pregnancy.
She faced an impossible choice: start treatment and lose her baby, or continue the pregnancy and risk her own life. She chose her son.
Her baby, Kyden, was born premature and lived for just 12 days—days Brianna called the most special of her life.
After his passing, Brianna began treatment and showed signs of hope. But her condition worsened, and despite costly treatments and her family’s efforts, she passed away on December 29, 2018.
She fought with incredible courage—keeping her promise to her son until the very end.
