Daniel Neeson, son of actor Liam Neeson and the late Natasha Richardson, revealed he recently underwent surgery for a rare congenital heart condition called Bicuspid Aortic Valve (BAV), where the valve has two leaflets instead of three.
He explained that the condition affected about 2% of people and had been monitored for years through regular checkups. Eventually, his heart began showing serious changes, leading to surgery.
Daniel described the experience as a moment of surrender and trust in doctors, saying he chose to see the operation as a “ceremony” and focused on staying mentally strong.
Outside of his health journey, he is an entrepreneur and environmental advocate, founder of the sustainable clothing brand Pine Outfitters.
