Chloe arrived at her best friend Ava’s wedding with her fiancé Mark, after spending months helping plan and even financially supporting the event. But at the entrance, Ava’s cousin stopped Mark, saying only married couples were allowed under a “rule” Ava had made.
Confused and hurt, Chloe learned that engaged couples didn’t count. Mark left quietly, while Ava ignored Chloe’s calls. During the ceremony and reception, many guests were upset after their partners were also excluded, leaving half the seats empty.
Chloe confronted Ava, who insisted she only wanted “official couples” at her perfect wedding. Their argument revealed Ava’s selfish decision and disregard for others.
Disappointed, Chloe left with Mark and decided to end the friendship. Months later, she and Mark had their own wedding—small, simple, and inclusive of all couples, no matter their status.
