King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the U.S. and were welcomed at the White House by Donald Trump and Melania Trump.
Their visit comes just days after a security scare at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where a gunman attempted to breach security in Washington, raising concerns about safety ahead of the royal trip.
During the White House greeting, a body language expert claimed Trump acted unusually “humble,” suggesting he appeared more deferential than ever before when meeting the King, including slower movements and a bowed posture.
Despite this, the visit continues with official meetings in Washington, a trip to New York’s 9/11 memorial, and public appearances in Virginia before the royals return to the UK.
