Posted on May 4, 2026 By admin

Actor Beau Starr, known for roles in Goodfellas and the Halloween franchise, has died at 81. His brother, actor Mike Starr, confirmed he passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 24, 2026, at his home in Vancouver, Canada.

Before acting, the Queens-born star played football for the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes, and spent time with the New York Jets. He began acting in his mid-30s, debuting in 1980 before building a long TV and film career.

Starr is best remembered for playing Henry Hill’s father in Goodfellas alongside Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci, as well as Sheriff Ben Meeker in Halloween 4 and Halloween 5. He also appeared in shows like Knight Rider, The A-Team, MacGyver, and Moonlighting, with his final credited role in Psych (2013).

Rest in peace, Beau Starr.
