Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital Friday morning after reportedly feeling unwell. According to TMZ, paramedics transported the 86-year-old musician for medical care, and he is currently recovering.
Sedaka rose to fame in the late 1950s and 1960s with hits like Oh! Carol, Calendar Girl, Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen, and Breaking Up Is Hard to Do. Known as a singer, songwriter, and pianist, his career has spanned more than six decades.
He has been married to Leba Strassberg since 1962, and together they have two children. Sedaka also remained active in entertainment through TV appearances and touring, becoming one of pop music’s enduring figures.
