Caitlyn Jenner is facing both grief and a financial dispute following the sudden death of her longtime friend and manager, Sophia Hutchins.
Court documents show Jenner filed a claim for $439,095.88, saying Hutchins used her accounts for personal and shared expenses before her death. The estate has approved the claim, meaning the money is expected to be repaid.
Jenner alleges over $250,000 was spent on furniture and personal purchases, along with additional charges including legal fees and cash withdrawals. She also seeks more than $130,000 in shared legal costs, noting Hutchins had already repaid part of it, including $75,000, and intended to cover the rest later.
Hutchins died on July 2 at age 29 in an ATV crash in Malibu, after reportedly colliding with a vehicle and going off a cliff. Authorities ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma.
Beyond finances, Jenner described Hutchins as a close friend and key part of her professional life, saying she has been deeply affected by the loss. While the estate has accepted the claim, further details remain private.
The case reflects how a close personal and business relationship has left both emotional and financial issues unresolved after a sudden tragedy.
