Jeff Probst’s brother, Scott Probst, has died, their brother Brent announced on Instagram on May 11. Jeff Probst, best known as the longtime host of Survivor, has led the CBS show since its debut in 2000.
Brent described Scott as “a great brother, son and friend” and said he would be deeply missed.
Scott had also worked on Survivor alongside Jeff as an art and camera assistant on several episodes.
His passing comes less than two years after their mother, Barb Probst, died in November 2024 after battling dementia. Survivor previously honored her with an on-air tribute.
Brent had earlier described her as “the best mom” and “full of love and life.”
Survivor, which premiered in 2000, is a CBS reality competition where contestants are stranded in remote locations, forming alliances and competing for a $1 million prize.
