Daniel Neeson recently opened up about undergoing surgery for Bicuspid Aortic Valve (BAV), a rare congenital heart condition where the aortic valve has two leaflets instead of three. In an emotional Instagram post, the 29-year-old shared that after years of regular heart checkups, doctors discovered severe enlargement of his aorta and left ventricle, leading to the need for surgery.
Daniel described the experience as life-changing, saying it taught him the importance of being proactive about health, trusting medical professionals, and focusing on mindset and healing rather than fear.
Born in 1996, Daniel is the son of Liam Neeson and the late Natasha Richardson. Unlike his family’s acting background, he pursued business and sustainability, founding the eco-friendly clothing brand Pine Outfitters in 2017.
Daniel is engaged to Ackerman after eight years together and has an older brother, Micheál Neeson, who has appeared in films alongside their father.
