Alice Hirson, known for her roles in Full House, Dallas, and Ellen, has died at the age of 95 from natural causes in Los Angeles.
Born in Brooklyn in 1929, Hirson built a television career that spanned decades. She appeared in 26 episodes of Dallas, played Claire Tanner on Full House, and portrayed Ellen DeGeneres’ mother on Ellen during the actress’s historic coming-out storyline in the 1990s.
She also made guest appearances on popular shows including Murphy Brown and Just Shoot Me!, while starring in films such as Private Benjamin, Revenge of the Nerds, and Being There.
Beyond television and film, Hirson also appeared on Broadway and enjoyed a long career in entertainment that touched multiple generations of audiences.
