Randy Quaid has made headlines claiming Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were “murdered” following their recent deaths in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Initial reports ruled out foul play, but new details have sparked speculation and an ongoing investigation.
Hackman’s body was found in a mudroom, and Arakawa’s near a space heater, with an open prescription bottle and scattered pills on the bathroom counter. This has fueled various theories, including one from Hackman’s daughter, who initially suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. However, tests by the Santa Fe Fire Department and New Mexico Gas Company found no evidence of leaks or poisoning.
Despite the findings, Quaid continues to assert that the couple were murdered, linking their deaths to other suspicious Hollywood cases. While his theory remains unsubstantiated, it has added to the public’s growing curiosity. The investigation continues with many questions still unanswered.
