Brad Arnold, the co-founder and frontman of 3 Doors Down, has died at 47 after a battle with Stage 4 kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs. According to the band, Arnold passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his wife and family.
Arnold helped launch 3 Doors Down into worldwide fame with hits like Kryptonite, Here Without You, and It’s Not My Time. He famously wrote “Kryptonite” when he was just 15 years old, helping the band become one of the biggest rock acts of the 2000s.
Originally the band’s drummer before becoming lead vocalist, Arnold was known for his emotional voice and heartfelt songwriting, leaving behind a lasting legacy in rock music.
