Doctors warn against beauty trend that causes reptile skin!

Posted on May 24, 2026 By admin

Mesotherapy, a cosmetic procedure first introduced in the 1950s, is becoming popular again as a quick fix for wrinkles, under-eye bags, and stubborn fat. The treatment uses injections of vitamins, enzymes, and other substances to tighten skin and improve appearance.

But doctors are warning that the trend can be dangerous. Social media influencers promote it as a cheap alternative to Botox, and DIY kits are now sold online, encouraging people to inject themselves at home.

Experts say the procedure is largely unregulated, meaning some products may be unsafe or counterfeit. Serious risks include severe bruising, infections, scarring, skin damage, allergic reactions, and even blindness if injections are done incorrectly—especially around the eyes.

While viral videos promise instant beauty results, doctors warn that chasing perfection through risky treatments can lead to permanent damage.
