Heart-stopping footage captured the terrifying moment a small plane crashed through a paraglider’s canopy midair, sending 44-year-old Sabrina spiraling helplessly above Austria’s Schmittenhöhe mountain. The collision nearly sliced her canopy in half, leaving her tangled in the air as she desperately tried to deploy her emergency parachute.
Despite the chaos, Sabrina managed to free herself and safely open the emergency chute before crashing hard onto the ground. Miraculously, she survived with only bruises and minor injuries, later saying she still couldn’t believe she walked away alive.
Authorities transported her by police helicopter, while the 28-year-old pilot safely landed the sightseeing plane at Zell am See Airport. The pilot claimed there was nothing he could have done to avoid the collision.
