Barry Christian, a Republican candidate for Oklahoma Senate District 38, was found dead inside his truck in a remote area near Erick, Oklahoma, after being reported missing two days earlier.
Authorities said his 2024 Ram truck was discovered near a ravine by the Sandy Sanders Wildlife Management Area, but difficult terrain delayed recovery efforts. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Christian was last seen driving his truck after missing a scheduled meeting. Before his disappearance, he had invited residents to a local festival meet-and-greet through social media as part of his campaign.
In an emotional statement, his daughter Brooklyn asked for prayers and urged people to treat her father’s legacy with dignity while the family searches for answers.
