Celine Dion paid an emotional tribute on Instagram on June 2 to Peabo Bryson, calling him “wonderful” and “generous” after his death at age 75 following a stroke.
She shared a throwback photo and reflected on their iconic 1991 duet for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, saying he made her feel comfortable while she was learning to sing in English and that his voice and spirit will always be remembered.
“My heart is with your family. Rest in peace, Peabo,” she wrote.
His representative confirmed he “transitioned peacefully,” and his family thanked fans for the global support, saying his legacy and music will live on.
Bryson also previously described working with Celine as a deeply natural and intimate experience, praising their musical connection on the track.
