Buddy, a friendly dog from Mississippi, suffered horrific burns in 2021 after being deliberately set on fire. He was found with his face severely scorched and an extension cord around his neck. Despite the devastating injuries, veterinarians at Mississippi State University worked tirelessly to save him.
Through months of treatment, skin grafts, and recovery, Buddy showed incredible resilience. Doctors confirmed he had not lost his eyesight, and over time his bandages were gradually removed. A major milestone came when he was able to open his eyes and see again for the first time in months.
Today, Buddy has made a remarkable recovery. Though he still requires special care due to his injuries, he has regained his playful spirit and continues to inspire thousands with his strength and determination.
