A Parking Dispute That Took an Unexpected Turn

Posted on June 13, 2026 By admin

A neighbor left a note on our windshield: “One car per house.” We thought it was a joke and ignored it.

A few days later, both our cars were being towed. Confused, we ran outside and saw our neighbor watching from her porch, clearly satisfied.

I calmly approached her and showed proof: both cars were company vehicles with commercial registration. The towing was illegal and would trigger serious penalties for the towing company.

Her confidence disappeared as I explained the legal consequences. The drivers immediately stopped and returned both cars.

By evening, everything was resolved through my employer’s legal team, and the towing company apologized. No charges were filed.

The neighbor never left another note again. It was a reminder that assumptions can backfire, and facts usually end the argument faster than anger ever could.
