Jamie Lee Curtis’ older sister, Kelly Lee Curtis, has died at 69.
She passed away peacefully at her California home while in hospice care, with family confirming she was surrounded by comfort in her final moments. Jamie Lee Curtis shared the news on Instagram, describing her sister as her “first friend and lifelong confidant.”
Kelly, daughter of Hollywood legends Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, was remembered for her warmth, humor, and deep love for family. She had a modest acting career with roles in TV shows like The Equalizer, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Hunter, and also appeared alongside Jamie in Trading Places.
Jamie’s tribute highlighted Kelly’s personality, calling her beautiful, creative, and deeply curious, with a love for nature, music, and family traditions. She also fondly recalled her sister’s famous holiday cookies and her habit of ending conversations with “Isten Veled” (“God is with you”).
Kelly is survived by her husband and extended family, who are mourning her loss.
