American singer Oliver Tree, 32, was among six people killed after two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14, 2026. The crash sparked a fire in a vehicle storage yard, destroying multiple cars, while investigators continue searching for answers.

In the days leading up to the tragedy, Tree remained active on social media, sharing moments from a recording session and posting videos from Brazil. He had recently announced what he called the biggest tour of his career, with plans to perform in more than 30 countries across all seven continents.

A recent interview has also gained renewed attention, as Tree spoke openly about mortality and revealed that he intended to leave his fortune to a foundation supporting emerging artists.

Following the news of his death, tributes poured in from fans and fellow musicians. Singer Melanie Martinez remembered him for his creativity, humor, and kindness, encouraging people to look beyond his public persona and remember the person he truly was.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused the collision. As the investigation continues, Oliver Tree is being remembered not only for his music but also for the impact he had on those who knew and admired him.

Tree appeared relaxed during a studio session he reshared to Instagram less than a day before the crash. At the time, he was continuing to post about music and travel, with no public indication of the tragedy that would follow. | Source: Instagram/liulive
