Actor Nicky Katt Dies by Suicide at 54
Nicky Katt, known for his roles in Dazed and Confused, Boiler Room, and Boston Public, has died by suicide at his home in the Los Angeles area, authorities confirmed on April 15. He was 54.
Katt began acting in the 1980s and is credited with 75 roles across film and television. He gained widespread recognition for playing Clint Bruno in Dazed and Confused (1993) and Harry Senate in Boston Public. He also appeared in Friends, A Time to Kill, School of Rock, and The Dark Knight.
His final TV role was in 2018 on Hulu’s Casual.
Director Robert Rodriguez, who worked with Katt on Planet Terror, paid tribute, calling him “a true artist” and “a joy on and off camera.”
Fans and colleagues continue to mourn the loss of the talented actor.
