Country music star Jillian Cardarelli, 33, has revealed she has been diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer and has begun treatment.
She shared an update from her hospital bed, saying her first major treatment step is complete and thanking the team at Dana-Farber for their care and support.
Cardarelli encouraged others to stay aware of their bodies and advocate for their health, noting that breast cancer can affect even young women with no family history.
She said the journey has been challenging but that she is taking it “one day at a time” while remaining grateful and hopeful.
