A camel in India reportedly killed its owner in a brutal attack after being left tied in extreme heat without water or shade in the Barmer district.
According to reports from 2016, the animal had been restrained for hours in temperatures above 109°F, leading to visible distress and agitation. When the owner, Urjaram, finally approached to untie it, the camel attacked, throwing him to the ground and fatally injuring him in a violent outburst witnessed by villagers.
It took several people hours to restrain the animal. Locals also claimed there had been prior tension between the camel and its owner. The incident has since sparked renewed discussion about animal welfare and the risks of mistreating powerful livestock in extreme conditions.
