Todd Snider, the acclaimed Americana singer-songwriter behind hits like “Alright Guy” and “Beer Run,” has died at 59. His death was confirmed on his official social media, though no cause has been released. Days earlier, his family said he had been hospitalized with walking pneumonia after reportedly suffering serious injuries in an alleged assault outside a Salt Lake City hotel.

Following his hospital discharge, Snider was arrested after returning to the hospital and allegedly threatening staff. He faced suspicion of disorderly conduct, trespassing, and making a violent threat. His nationwide tour was canceled as he focused on recovery.
