NHL reporter Jessi Pierce, 37, died in a tragic house fire in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, along with her three children.
Fire officials responded to an early morning blaze that quickly engulfed the home. By the time emergency crews arrived, the house was fully consumed by flames. A family dog also died in the fire.
Pierce was a respected hockey journalist who covered the Minnesota Wild for NHL.com for nearly a decade and worked with multiple major hockey outlets.
Just one day before the tragedy, she had shared a photo outing with her children.
The NHL and the hockey community expressed deep sorrow, calling her a valued member of the hockey media family and offering condolences to her husband and loved ones.
