Mom Races to Save Her 5-Year-Old Son With a $2M Treatment ❤️

Posted on July 7, 2026 By admin

A Mother Is Racing Against Time to Save Her Son 💔

Tammy McDaid thought she was raising a child with autism. But after years of searching for answers, she received a heartbreaking diagnosis: her 5-year-old son Tate has Sanfilippo syndrome Type A, a rare condition known as “childhood dementia.”

The disease slowly takes away children’s abilities — walking, eating, speaking, and eventually movement.

But now, a groundbreaking gene therapy in the U.S. has given Tammy new hope. Children in trials have continued developing years later, giving families a chance they never thought possible.

The only problem? Time.

The treatment could cost millions, and Tate may not be able to wait years for access through normal channels.

“I’m fighting against time,” Tammy says.

She is determined to get her son the chance at a future he deserves. ❤️
