Sara Gore, host of NBC New York’s Open House and New York Live, has revealed that she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will step away from her hosting duties to focus on treatment and surgery.
The 49-year-old TV personality said the diagnosis was emotionally difficult, especially because her mother and sister have also battled breast cancer. Although she knew she was at higher risk, she admitted that nothing could fully prepare her for the news.
