Theo Burrell, the beloved British antiques expert and BBC Antiques Roadshow star, has died at the age of 39 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.
Her family announced that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. In a heartfelt Instagram statement, they described Theo as an incredible woman who fought tirelessly for her family while raising awareness of the devastating disease. Despite being given only 12–18 months to live after her 2022 diagnosis, she defied the odds, living long enough to see her young son start school and to marry her longtime partner, Alex, earlier this year.
Theo openly shared her cancer journey to inspire hope and encourage research, reminding others facing brain cancer that they were never alone. A respected ceramics and glass specialist, she joined BBC’s Antiques Roadshow in 2018 and became a familiar face to viewers across the UK.
She leaves behind her husband, young son, family, friends, and countless fans inspired by her strength and resilience.
