Phil Collins breaks his silence about his health struggles after nearly 20 years of battling complications from a serious spinal injury.
The legendary musician revealed that he now requires 24-hour care to help manage his medications and ongoing health issues.
Collins, who suffered nerve damage after a spinal injury in 2007, admitted that his body has been through years of challenges.
“I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me,” he shared.
After multiple surgeries, including five knee operations, the former Genesis frontman now walks with assistance.
His health struggles became even harder during Genesis’ farewell tour, where his son Nic played drums while Phil performed as the singer.
But behind the pain, Collins says he has found reasons to keep going.
After years of struggling with alcohol and spending months in the hospital, he made a life-changing decision and celebrated two years of sobriety.
Today, he says he is grateful for his children, his music career, and the incredible journey he has lived.
A true legend still fighting. ❤️
