Lauren Chapin, best known as Kathy “Kitten” Anderson on the classic sitcom Father Knows Best, has died at 80.
Chapin became a beloved child star during the show’s six-season run from 1954 to 1960, portraying the youngest member of the Anderson family. She later returned for the show’s 1977 reunion and Christmas special.
After leaving Hollywood, Chapin focused on family, faith, and charity work. She managed artists, wrote books, and helped raise millions of dollars to support underprivileged and abused children.
Her role as “Kitten” remains one of the most memorable performances from early television history.
