Miami Real Estate Agent, Two Daughters and Father Found Dead in Tragic Murder-Suicide
A South Florida community is mourning after real estate agent Melanie Hyer, 46, her daughters Savannah, 11, and Sienna, 8, and their father Ryan Charles Whiten, 42, were found dead inside a Doral home.
Authorities said all four suffered stab wounds and are investigating the case as an apparent murder-suicide. The investigation remains ongoing, with autopsy results pending.
Hyer was a respected luxury real estate agent known for waterfront and commercial properties. She and Whiten had separated years earlier but continued co-parenting their daughters.
Friends and community members described the family’s death as a heartbreaking tragedy. Doral Mayor Christi Fraga called the loss “unimaginable” and offered condolences to everyone affected.
