Beloved Actress Dies at 89

Patty Maloney, the beloved actress known for her role on Little House on the Prairie and appearances in Star Wars Holiday Special, has died at 89.

Her brother confirmed that Maloney passed away on March 31 while receiving hospice care in Florida after suffering several strokes.

Born in 1936, Maloney began performing at just three years old and built a remarkable career across television, film, and theater. Standing only 3 feet 11 inches tall, she became known for unforgettable roles, including Lumpy in The Star Wars Holiday Special, Tina the robot waitress in Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and Alice Bates on Little House on the Prairie.

Beyond acting, Maloney’s journey included performances with traveling shows and even the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

She leaves behind a legacy as one of Hollywood’s most memorable character actresses, bringing joy to generations of fans. ❤️
