After more than 50 years on stage, Sir Elton John says he is officially done with touring.
His legendary “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour ended in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2023 — and now he has confirmed there will be no more world tours.
The reason?
Family.
At 77 years old, Elton wants to spend more time with his husband David Furnish and their two sons, who are entering their teenage years.
David explained:
“We don’t want to miss anything. We want to be present for that.”
After decades of traveling the world, Elton says he left the stage exactly how he wanted — at the highest point.
“We went out on the biggest high… and there’s no going back after that.”
But fans shouldn’t completely lose hope.
Elton says a special one-time performance could still happen someday.
