Posted on August 2, 2026 By admin

Vincent Pastore, best known as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos, has died at the age of 80.

The beloved actor was found at his home in the Bronx on Saturday, August 1, after a neighbor became concerned when they had not heard from him for several days. The cause of death is still under investigation, though reports say sources believe he died of natural causes.

Pastore became one of television’s most memorable mob characters through his powerful performance on The Sopranos, but his career stretched far beyond the iconic role. He appeared in films like Goodfellas and Carlito’s Way, along with numerous television shows and stage productions.

Friends and fans remembered him not only for his tough on-screen roles but also for his humor, kindness, and generosity away from the cameras.

Michael Imperioli, his Sopranos co-star, shared an emotional tribute, calling him a “kind hearted brother” and saying he would miss him always.

Vincent Pastore leaves behind a legacy that will forever be remembered by fans of one of television’s greatest dramas.
