đ Dallas Cowboys Legend Lee Roy Jordan Passes Away at 84
The football world is mourning the loss of Lee Roy Jordan, one of the greatest linebackers in Dallas Cowboys history.
A five-time Pro Bowler and the heart of the legendary âDoomsday Defense,â Jordan helped lead the Cowboys to their first Super Bowl championship in 1971.
Born in Alabama, Jordan grew up with a strong work ethic that followed him throughout his career. After starring at the University of Alabama under coach Bear Bryant, he joined the Cowboys in 1963 and spent his entire 14-year NFL career wearing the star.
He was known for his toughness, intelligence, leadership, and fearless tackling.
Jordan played in three Super Bowls, earned five Pro Bowl selections, and became one of the most respected figures in franchise history.
After football, he continued making an impact through business and community work. In 1989, he was honored with induction into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.
