A month after undergoing emergency surgery for a blocked bowel, Pat Sajak opened up about the frightening experience.
During a morning walk with his daughter, Sajak suddenly developed excruciating pain. Hours later, he was in the hospital preparing for emergency surgery. While heavily medicated, he heard his wife and daughter talking nearby and briefly believed he was experiencing death.
Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and doctors found no underlying cause for the blockage. Sajak later joked, “It turns out that I was merely high.”
After recovering, he returned to the studio and even joked about his longtime co-host Vanna White enjoying her chance to host.
The experience gave Sajak a powerful reminder of how precious life and family truly are. ❤️
