The Tragic Death of Little Conrad
Three-year-old Conrad Ashcraft was supposed to be safe at daycare. Instead, on May 16, 2025, he was found dead beneath a weighted blanket.
According to prosecutors, former daycare worker Tiffany Hedrick allegedly placed Conrad face down under the blanket and restrained him because he was reportedly refusing to sleep. The indictment alleges he died from asphyxiation.
Conrad was autistic and nonverbal. His family remembers him as a sweet boy who loved swimming, Toy Story, Cars, pizza, and spending time with his family.
Hedrick was later charged with second-degree murder, abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death, and armed criminal action. She pleaded not guilty.
Her bond was later reduced to $200,000, devastating Conrad’s family.
His next court date is reportedly set for January 25, 2027.
Rest in peace, sweet Conrad. 🕊️
