Brian Hickerson Breaks Silence After Hayden Panettiere’s Death
Brian Hickerson has spoken out following the sudden death of actress Hayden Panettiere, who was found unresponsive in a South Carolina apartment at age 36.
Through his attorney, Hickerson said the investigation is still ongoing and asked that authorities be allowed to complete their work before conclusions are drawn. Police have reportedly found no signs of foul play.
Panettiere was discovered by Hickerson’s brother, Zach, while Brian was reportedly sleeping in another room. Emergency responders attempted CPR, but she could not be revived.
Authorities have not announced an official cause of death. An autopsy reportedly found no trauma, while the DEA has also become involved in the investigation.
Hickerson and Panettiere had an on-and-off relationship dating back to 2018. Their relationship had a troubled history, including Hickerson’s 2021 conviction for domestic violence-related offenses.
Despite their past, the two remained connected over the years.
Panettiere, known for “Heroes” and “Nashville,” had also spoken publicly about addiction and postpartum depression.
Her former fiancé, Wladimir Klitschko, said the family is dealing with profound grief, especially for their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the final cause of Panettiere’s death has not yet been released.
