My husband left me on strict bed rest with high-risk triplets to take a four-month luxury cruise.
I thought Daniel was selfish.
I had no idea how much worse it was.
Just days after my doctor ordered bed rest, Daniel packed his bags and left anyway.
While I struggled through a premature delivery and spent months beside my three daughters in the NICU, Daniel barely checked on us. His only response to a photo of our premature babies was:
“Cute.”
Then I discovered the truth.
There had never been a company-sponsored cruise. Daniel had taken out a second mortgage on our house to pay for it—and forged my signature.
I immediately contacted a lawyer.
When Daniel finally returned, I met him at the airport with our three daughters. He wasn’t alone. A woman named Claire was holding his arm, completely unaware that he was still married.
“I found real love,” Daniel said. “We need to discuss the divorce, the house, and custody.”
But before he could continue, a process server approached him.
“You’ve been served.”
Daniel froze.
I had filed for divorce, emergency financial orders, and action regarding the forged mortgage documents.
Claire stared at him in disbelief.
“You told me you won that trip.”
Daniel had no answer.
He had left me believing I was alone and powerless.
Instead, I had uncovered everything.
And as I pushed my daughters toward the exit, I realized something:
Daniel’s luxury cruise had cost him far more than he ever imagined.
