Bunny Levine, Beloved Character Actress, Dies at 97
Bunny Levine, the beloved character actress known for appearances in Gilmore Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, Law & Order, Criminal Minds, Ugly Betty, Raising Hope and La La Land, has died at 97.
Levine passed away peacefully in her sleep at her California home on August 20, with her death believed to be from natural causes.
Born Bernice Levine in 1928, she spent 25 years working as a school librarian before finally pursuing her childhood dream of acting. She began her career at nearly 60 and continued working for decades.
Her credits included television, film and comedy roles, and she was still auditioning and working well into her 90s. She also co-founded Actors Connection in 1991 to help aspiring performers build careers.
Levine is survived by her children Marty, Francie and Joe, and grandchildren Robin and Jeffrey.
Her remarkable life proved that it is never too late to chase a dream.
