Patrick Muldoon, best known for Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, and Starship Troopers, has died suddenly at 57.
His death certificate confirmed that he died from a heart attack on April 19, 2026. A pulmonary embolism and hereditary coagulopathy were also listed as contributing factors.
According to his sister, Shana, Muldoon had been at home in Beverly Hills after having coffee with his girlfriend. When he took unusually long in the shower, she found him unconscious. Paramedics tried to revive him but could not save him.
Muldoon became famous as Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives, later appearing on Melrose Place and starring as Zander Barcalow in Starship Troopers.
He was also a musician and continued working in film and television throughout his career.
Just two days before his death, he shared his excitement about his upcoming project Kockroach.
He leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered by fans around the world.
