Brad Pitt reveals his darkest period
Brad Pitt has opened up about one of the darkest periods of his life, admitting that he briefly experienced suicidal thoughts.
Speaking to Esquire, the actor said his emotional pain became so overwhelming that he felt he couldn’t see a way out. When asked if it involved his children, Pitt simply replied: “Family stuff. We could leave it at that.”
Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six children, and he has reportedly become estranged from some of them following their divorce.
The 62-year-old actor also revealed that after seven years of sobriety, he has started drinking again—but says he now does so in a much more controlled way.
Despite the difficult years, Pitt says he remains an optimist and recognizes how fortunate he has been.
