According to reports, Busch became unresponsive while testing in Chevrolet’s racing simulator in Concord, North Carolina, and was rushed to a hospital in Charlotte. His family announced he had been hospitalized with a “severe illness” just one day before his death.
Busch, nicknamed “Rowdy,” was a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and one of the most successful drivers in the sport’s history. He won races across NASCAR’s top three national series and became known for his aggressive style and fierce competitiveness.
NASCAR described him as a rare, once-in-a-generation talent and a future Hall of Famer.
He leaves behind his wife, Samantha, their children, and millions of heartbroken fans.
