Joe Biden Shares Health Update After Prostate Cancer Diagnosis — And Warns Others

Posted on September 17, 2026 By admin

Former President Joe Biden shared an update on his prostate cancer treatment, saying the radiation therapy he underwent last fall “worked as intended.”

Biden, 83, thanked the medical professionals caring for him and urged men not to delay conversations about prostate cancer screening.

“Talk to your doctors. Ask the hard questions,” Biden wrote, emphasizing that early detection can help save lives.

The American Cancer Society recommends discussing screening around age 50 for average-risk men, earlier for Black men and those with a family history, and around age 40 for some men at higher risk.

Biden was diagnosed with aggressive Stage 4 prostate cancer in 2025 after the disease had spread to his bones.
