A Woman Shamed Me for Breastfeeding on a Plane—Until My 8-Year-Old Daughter Shocked Her
A month after burying my husband, I flew with my five-month-old son and eight-year-old daughter, Louise, to stay with my mother.
Because seats were limited, Louise sat one row behind me. The woman beside me warned, “If your baby starts screaming, I’m not listening!”
Hours later, my hungry son began crying, so I breastfed him under a nursing cover. The woman glared at me.
“That’s disgusting! Go feed him in the bathroom! This is shameful!”
Humiliated, I struggled to respond. Suddenly, Louise approached.
“Mom, take my seat. I’ll keep this lady company.”
We switched places. Louise opened her tablet and showed the woman something on the screen.
The woman screamed and jumped from her seat as passengers stared.
I glanced at the screen—and couldn’t believe what I saw.
What had my little girl shown her?
