Jennifer Lopez Sued Over Paparazzi Photos
Jennifer Lopez is being sued for posting paparazzi photos of herself on social media without permission. Photographer Edwin Blanco and agency BackGrid USA claim they own the rights to two images J.Lo shared after a Golden Globes after-party in January.
The lawsuit argues the posts were “commercial in nature,” used to promote Lopez and her brand partnerships. One of the photos was even reposted by the designer of her faux fur coat.
Though Lopez’s team allegedly reached a verbal settlement after being contacted, the plaintiffs say they never received payment. This isn’t the first time—Lopez faced a similar suit in 2019, which was later dismissed.
Under copyright law, damages could reach $150,000 per photo. Lopez has not publicly commented.
